Valentine’s day is a happy day. It is a day to profess love and open your heart, smell the flowers and eat chocolates. But there are always those no-do-gooders who want to bring Valentine’s Day down, down, down. Why? Why bring down a happy holiday? So what if you don’t have a boyfriend/girlfriend/husband/wife/significant other? Be a good friend, share a laugh, eat candy for goodness sake! There is no excuse to be mopy and down on Valentine’s day. I have discovered that my grandfather is a wise man. He once told me only boring people get bored. I apply this to Valentine’s day in a similar way: only people who want to be depressed on Valentine’s Day get depressed. Think about it, it is all about attitude. If you go into a day thinking, this will suck, I betcha it will. If you say it’s going to be great, then there you go. You’re set. So have a positive outlook this Valentine’s and tell someone you love them.
