The November Rain
Staring through the wipers
Washing away the rainfall
The November chill remains
Under the cover of a silhouette
Anonymous as the sky is to Earth
As a downpour beats, it turns glassy
It streaks the unclear day blurry
Waiting for snow to come again
And cover this depressed
November rain
Evolving to the End.
Shock will surround the world
Screams may smother the whispers
But all along
It’s been no surprise.
All along I predicted the demise.
When there’s a newspaper to be read
It’s taken in word for word.
Or the headlines briefly skimmed
As the rush goes through unheard
And not one moment considered
Not brought to mind, the end
The end of all we know, of man and
Woman kind.
Be a bomb, a quake, a hurricane.
Be a virus, disease, and no air.
But none of that will pass for me
As the end of mother earth.
Judge once the boats, the planes.
The need there is for ma-bobs and things.
Reflect how instead of sharing the wealth
One has all and all have none.
The end of the tracks of our feet
Began when we paved the first road.
The end of the air that we breath
Commenced with the oil we dug.
The end of the sky was smothered in smoke
The end of the grass was covered in roads.
The end of the river was sunken by boats.
The end of the animals is ever so close.
The last animal standing
The one who began it all.
The last animal standing
Will take the heaviest fall.
Forest of the Night
Whispering wisps of wind
Wash by my pink red
Cheeks. Rustles and
Stillness keeps the eeriness
At a peak of suspense.
Closing in, shadows
Reaching, branches
Grabbing as they speak
To the swirling stars,
Crowning the black,
Creating monsterly
Shapes across the sky
As a pandemonium
Echoes through silent
Ears.
Midnight Dance
As we walk
Into the twilight,
Step by step
My mouth waters
From the taste of salt
And the darkening sky.
The roughness
The smoothness
Into which our feet sink
Envelop us
Into their depths.
Crashing,
The cool black water
Grabs for us
As we sway to the
Dangerous waves
With sound that melts in the sea.
Coolness with a whistle
Softly brushes past me.
I stare into the eyes of the stars
And they glare back at me
Without blinking,
And I feel something
Curiously familiar.
Linger
The sun diminishes to a sinister blue
Yet that blue so shadowy, has light
To cure the most obscure of hearts
A sandy texture melts through toes
And enters the terrain where
Only the most inexplicable go
So lay in the damp morning grass
Sense it seep through your skin
Evolving to the End… awesome.
