Thoughts on Why

sometimes i notice the seasons by the sounds they make. now that summer is ending, the leaves make such a clear sound when the wind ruffles them. there are fewer chirps and the crickets slowly quiet down. the fall has more of a serene sound than the boisterous summer, yet it’s more awake than winter. the approach of night is more defeaning and reviving at the same time. In some ways, everything slows down, but in others it does the opposite. the ambiance of summer disappears and is replaced by a cool, refreshing alternative. color becomes more vivid and diverse. the small of freshly cut lawns turns into the smell of leaves turning and changing. and all the while it goes unoticed

An essential part of feeling good is staying in shape and working out. The feel of a good work out is something that too few people ever experience. I love the feeling of being sore and tired. I love knowing I just did something that most people can’t do. I love the feeling of being in shape and looking decent. There are different feelings for different types of work outs too. Lifting and weight training gives me a less tired, sore feeling. Running makes me feel tired and good. Swimming is an all around good feeling work out. Other stuff normally makes me sore because I’m not used to it. But no matter what, I’m happy to be back in a good routine.

College is quickly approaching, and I must admit, I am very excited. The days dwindle down as I work and work, but not as much as before, which is awesome. Eventually it will be a week before school and I’ll realize that I don’t have any of the stuff I need and go frantic. I can’t wait for school though :) Let the adventure begin.
